CES ULTRA
[CESULTRA]

$349.95 $294.95

Relax your way to less anxiety, depression, and insomnia with a CES ULTRA device.

The CES ULTRA is a medical quality device that can help reduce anxiety, depression and insomnia by providing a simple treatment using mild battery-powered electronic stimulation to the body.

The suggested retail of the CES Ultra is below that of other popular C.E.S. machines, such as the Alpha Stim and Brain Tuner. Save hundreds of dollars.

CES (Cranial Electronic Stimulation sometimes called Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation) has been used in numerous countries around the world for over 30 years. It involves the application of mild micro-current electrical impulses to the head via electrodes applied behind the ears or by means of ear-clip electrodes.

The CES ExperienceIndividual results will vary, but many patients report significant improvement of their Stress-Related Symptoms over a period of 2 to 3 weeks of daily use. Following the initial series of CES Ultra applications, the device may be used on occasion as needed to maintain the achieved level of improvements. Normally, CES is used once or twice daily for 30 minutes per session - longer if desired.

Pulse Rate Selection and Timers

CES ULTRA features two pulse rate frequencies - 0.35 hertz and 100 hz. Individuals may use both settings to determine which frequency provides the best results.

Contraindications/Precautions

There are no known contraindications for use of CES. There are, however, circumstances in which its safety has not been tested. CES should not be used without on-going clinical supervision by severe depressives, epileptics, those known to be pregnant, or by individuals with implanted electronic devices such as cardiac pacemakers or insulin pumps. The induced relaxation response, resulting from use of CES does not in any way impair reaction time.

It is recommended, however, that CES not be used while operating dangerous or complex equipment or while driving. Negative side effects are rare. Less than three percent of CES users report a slight headache. This is usually alleviated by simply turning down the current. If the headache recurs during ordinary use, cease using the unit and consult with your physician.

As with the use of any medical device, the physician or licensed practitioner should be informed of any medication or neuro-transmitter blockers the patient is taking as well as the employment of cardiac pacemakers or other electronic devices as mentioned above.

Insurance Information: The CES Ultra is not usually covered by most Medical insurance. Some insurance companies will, however, provide reimbursement for the device (E1399) with a medical order and certification of necessity. Supplies (A4556) will usually be covered without additional medical orders or certification.

Studies:

"Results of this simulation indicate that, in contrast to previous beliefs, a small fraction of the CES current does reach the thalamic area and may facilitate the release of neurotransmitters." http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/xpl/freeabs_all.jsp?arnumber=532128

"It is concluded that CES is as effective as the drug therapies in several trials, with no negative side effects, and deserves further consideration as an additional agent for the treatment of fibromyalgia." http://www.jclinrheum.com/pt/re/jcr/...195628!8091!-1

"The ineffectiveness of CES to reduce withdrawal symptoms and facilitate smoking cessation are similar to results of other clinical studies of CES in drug dependence, although positive effects of CES in animal studies have been reported. " http://www.sciencedirect.com/science...a1d7a8893eabd8

"In one study, behavioral disorders of patients with vascular dementia reacted positively to cranial electrostimulation (CES). In the present study, it was examined whether CES could improve cognition and (affective) behavior in patients with probable Alzheimer's disease (AD). Eighteen AD patients, divided into an experimental and a placebo group, were treated for 30 min per day, 5 days a week, for 6 weeks. No improvements in cognition and (affective) behavior were found after CES." http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/en... opt=Citation
